World bee day - 2026
On the occasion of World Bee Day, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Cvetan Tripunovski, the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia Grigor Presker, representatives of institutions, beekeepers and guests from several cities visited the apitherapy center "Risto Alchinov".
On the occasion of World Bee Day, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Cvetan Tripunovski, the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Grigor Presker, representatives of institutions, beekeepers and guests from several cities visited the apitherapy center "Risto Alchinov". The delegations were closely acquainted with the method, methods and techniques of apitherapy and its importance, while the part of api-inhalation by inhaling bee air directly from the beehive was practically presented.
Minister Tripunovski showed particular interest in the development of beekeeping, improving the legal situation and the state's attitude towards beekeepers, while Ambassador Presker expressed special honor and satisfaction that part of the apitherapy equipment is of Slovenian production, as well as the high level of development of apitherapy as part of alternative medicine in the Republic of Macedonia, compared to the Republic of Slovenia. As part of the protocol, a tasting of honey, pollen, honey cakes and mountain tea was conducted, all authentic Gevgelija/Kožuf production. Gevgelija and the Kožuf Mountain, as a fantastic beekeeping area, is hosting the celebration of World Bee Day this year as one of the regions with the greatest beekeeping capacity and potential in the Balkans.
