In Kozhuf, we have a combination of two climates – the continental and the Mediterranean climate, which makes us unique in Europe for beekeeping above 1,300 meters above sea level. Here, we have it in its purest form, along the flow of the Dosnica river, in the cave-ridden area and in the old beech trees, we have Apis mellifera macedonica, our native, indigenous honey bee.
